Kasauli Tourist Places in Himachal Pradesh

This beautiful hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh is about 80 kms from the state capital, Shimla. Kasauli offers the charm of walking shaded by oak, pine and horse chestnut trees. Upper and Lower malls are two main streets of the town having old fashioned buildings with gable roofs and wooden balconies. The highest point of the town is called the Monkey Point which is 4 kms from the bus station. From the top of this hill you can have the bird’s eye view of Shimla and Chandigarh.

About 60 km northeast of kasauli is Nalagarh, the seat of former princely state of Hindur. The palace has been converted to a resort called Nalagarh resort.

Kasauli can be best approached by trains. The nearest railhead is Kalka, from where one can take private taxi to Kasauli -an hour's drive. By road it is 315 kms from Delhi and there are plenty of buses and taxis that will take you there. Otherwise you can fly to Chandigarh, which is 70 kms away from Kasauli - a two-hour drive. Major domestic airlines fly between Delhi and Chandigarh.
