You are free to get down at tiny hamlets, hairpin bends and green meadows to savor the moment and take a few clicks. You free to sample roadside stuffed omelets and sip on Chai while chatting to locals. A road trip, be it by car or bike will give you an unforgettable experience. Here are 3 road trips to beautiful destinations in Himachal.

Road Trips from Himachal Pradesh

Delhi to Kaza

Start off from Delhi early (no later than 9 a.m.). Check the fuel tank, brakes and wind shield of the car and don’t forget to carry warm clothes, coffee thermos, umbrella and plenty of loose cash. You must target to reach Narkanda via Shimla from Delhi on the very first night for a secure night stay. Narkanda is full of alpine jungles but also has great accommodation options. Depending upon your preferences you can either book a hotel for the night or decide to camp on the borders of the alpine forest at night. Make sure that you light up a camp fire near your tents in case you decide to camp out in the open.

Your next destination should be Sangla; a picturesque hamlet full of gushing streams and pretty apple orchards. It will take you 5 hours to reach Sangla after which you will be tired so it’s better that you spend the time exploring the quaint architecture of the village. Stay at one of the local home stays available (this has to be prearranged) as the next morning you will experience the most amazing scenery after a tough hike.
